Lowell General Hospital Summer Opportunity

Lowell General Hospital will be hosting a week-long Careers in Healthcare experience for high school students in the Greater Lowell area. Participants will learn about the hospital and visit various departments including the Laboratory, Emergency Department, Pharmacy, Intensive Care Unit and more.

This program is open to high school students, ages 15-18 years of age, looking to pursue a career
in healthcare. Students will participate in interactive, hands-on activities. Some of these activities include speaking with department staff members, receiving a behind-the-scenes tour of the hospital, learning about defibrillators in our Intensive Care Unit, becoming CPR certified and learning how to examine human tissue under a microscope.

Upon completion, each student will be presented with a certificate presented by a member of Lowell General Hospital’s executive team during a special graduation ceremony.

Dates:
Monday, July 31 – Friday, August 4, 2017

Times:
8:30am-2:00pm

Fee:
$250 per student (fee includes morning snack, lunch and
a set of scrubs to wear). Children of hospital employees will
receive a $50 discount.

Registration must be received by 4:00pm on Monday, June 19.
