Dear Juniors & Junior Parents,
The Guidance office is buzzing with wonderfully productive college meetings! If
you have not set up a meeting with your child’s counselor to discuss “Life
After Westford Academy,” we recommend you contact him/her soon to set up a
meeting. We like to complete these meetings before April break due to the
school calendar, graduation, senior requirements, etc! This whole process will
be completed in roughly 9 months, so it is important to meet now to begin to
plan the months ahead. We would like to remind the students that you must
complete “Junior Year Profile,” Cluster Finder,
Personality survey, and at least one college search in Naviance before we meet.
Please ensure there are a few colleges from that search saved in “Colleges I’m
Thinking About.” It helps us as counselors to gear the meeting specifically
towards the student’s goals.
As a reminder, the deadline to fill out the Junior Job Shadow Agreement form is next Friday March 11. The link can be found on the School to Careers website under Junior Job Shadow. In order to access the form, you will need to login using your westfordk12.us Google login. Please let your guidance counselor know if you have questions.
