On January 25th, the Mount Ida Campus of University of Massachusetts will host a Summer Pre-college Program Fair for high school students from 1-3 PM. This event will feature many of the most highly rated Pre-College programs in the US.
High School Students can
• Learn about summer pre-college program opportunities
• Attend free workshops for both students and parents
• Speak with representatives from the participating institutions
• Take a complimentary Shuttle Service to and from the Newton Centre T Stop



PreHacks 
An initiative that targets female and femme non-binary high school students to attend TechTogether and provide them with crash courses in topics including data science, hardware, and app development. At PreHacks, students will get the opportunity to learn more about what to expect from a hackathon, the college experience at Boston University, and will get to meet mentors to help guide them through the hackathon experience and learn more about what it’s like to pursue a degree in Computer Science.

2020 Girls STEM Summit
A one-day event for young women in grades 8–12 who love Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

  • Hear an inspirational keynote speech by a local female leader in a STEM field.
  • Meet successful women working as experts in STEM fields, and work directly with them in hands-on career-specific workshops.
  • Expand knowledge of STEM industries and emerging career paths. 
  • Impact and bridge the gap between girls’ passion for the topics and helping them find their way to successful STEM careers.
  • Inspire girls to pursue STEM fields.
  • Fill an important gender gap in STEM jobs today and into the future.
  • Present topics and learning sessions in a way that makes STEM topics interesting, relevant to career paths, and approachable.
  • Provide hands-on career sessions highlighting a variety of STEM industries.
